Renee and I tried extremely hard to give everyone what they were looking for from billy blues in these tough economic times. for the past two years we have worked diligently to produce a line which would maintain the same great fit, fabrics, and quality you expect from billy blues at a more competitive price.

As a “made in the USA” brand for the past 13 years, you can imagine finding off shore production which would maintain our standards in order to have the ability to offer great pricing was quite an undertaking. We knew you would not accept anything less than what you have come to expect from us; and we never would compromise the integrity of our product to achieve a better price.

 Once the decision to produce off shore was made, we found a manufacturer we felt could help us achieve our goal, and  Renee traveled to China to “educate” the factories on the billy blues philosophy.  With a dedication to maintain continuity, we went as far as to ship the high quality European fabrics directly to China  to manufacture and ship our product with our same great consistency of quality and  fit.

Unfortunately, we found ourselves partnering with people who were not as well versed in the process as they had represented themselves to be, and we totally were let down by them. We found out the hard way that having Chinese production experience does not necessarily  mean they had it together in other aspects of the process. They did not keep a close eye on production, and as the extremely late finished goods started to come in, we realized the product we received was not  what we stood for. Immediately, we had no choice but to make the very tough call not to not ship these goods because  they did not  meet  our high standards.   

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we apologize that we will not be shipping goods through at least the first quarter of next year. we plan  to regroup. We will get back to everyone once things are back to our standards.
